While Norris had the pace to challenge for the win, his team’s poor timing during the pit stops meant he spent most of the race unable to attack, ultimately leading to a disappointing finish. Oscar Piastri rounded out the podium in third, showcasing McLaren’s strong performance despite their strategic missteps. George Russell and Max Verstappen finished fourth and fifth respectively, unable to make significant inroads on the leading trio. Overall, this race highlighted the importance of strategy in F1, as McLaren’s speed alone was not enough to overcome Mercedes’ flawless execution.
