This team has had more names than most. It started life as Jordan in 1991, became Midland, then Spyker, then Force India, then Racing Point, and finally — when Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll bought a stake and renamed it after his other car company in 2021 — Aston Martin.
The bet is simple: spend enough on facilities, engineers, and a driver lineup of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll (Lawrence’s son) to break into the top three. They’ve added a Honda works engine partnership for 2026 and a brand-new wind tunnel at Silverstone. Whether the bet pays off depends on whether technical leadership can match the budget.
