Aston Martin
Lawrence Stroll bought a midfield team and is spending his way to the front.
This team has had more names than most. It started life as Jordan in 1991, became Midland, then Spyker, then Force India, then Racing Point, and finally, when Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll bought a stake and renamed it after his other car company in 2021, Aston Martin.
The bet is simple: spend enough on facilities, engineers, and a driver lineup of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll (Lawrence’s son) to break into the top three. They’ve added a Honda works engine partnership for 2026 and a brand-new wind tunnel at Silverstone. Whether the bet pays off depends on whether technical leadership can match the budget.
If you see racing green with hot pink branding, that’s Aston Martin.
